neuro-ophthalmologyNeuro-Ophthalmology is concerned with the visual problems related with the nervous system, making it a subspecialty of both the Ophthalmology and Neurology. Neuro-ophthalmology also deals with local pathology affecting the optic nerve and visual pathways. Causes of the neuro related visual problems are compression in the visual pathways. It is because of the tumour in the pituitary gland or any other gland around the visionary pathways, or a brain injury due to various reasons.
